Mumbai: The renowned actor-director Amol Palekar was interrupted mid-speech at the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) Director in Mumbai on Friday. Palekar was speaking at the inaugural event of an exhibition named ‘Inside the Empty Box’ organised in memory of the artist Prabhakar Barwe. The event was reportedly organised by Bodhana Arts and Research Foundation. 

Palekar was repeatedly heckled and interrupted during his speech when he criticised the Ministry of Culture for reportedly disbanding the advisory committees of the art gallery at Mumbai and Bengaluru centres. He forced to terminate his speech prematurely due to NGMA Director's repeated interruption.
