RSS General Secretary Bhaiyyaji Joshi weighed-in on the Centre's side saying that there was no doubt in the commitment of BJP government for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Two days after the Supreme Court appointed a panel for mediation in the decades-old  Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title case, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh General Secretary Bhaiyyaji Joshi asserted that the protest that has been there since the 1980-90s for Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, will not stop until the construction of the temple is completed. Expressing faith in the Supreme Court, Joshi said that he hopes the judgement in the case will come soon.

"1980-90s se jo andolan chal raha hai, jab tak mandir poora nahi hoga tab tak humara andolan chaltarahega. Hum nayalay se apeksha karte hain ki sheeghrta se iske sandarb mein faisla de. (The efforts that have been there since the 1980-90s for Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will not stop untill it's constructed. Hope the Judiciary will give its judgement in the case soon)," Bhaiyyaji Joshi was quoted by ANI as saying.

On the question of BJP not going for the ordinance route for the construction of the temple, Joshi said that he believes that those in power were not against the temple construction, and there was no doubt on their commitment to construct the temple. "Hum maante hain ki satta mein baithe hue logon ko abhi Ram Mandir ka virodh nahi hai. Unki pratibadhta ko lekar humare mann mein koi shanka nahi hai," he said.

Bhaiyyaji's comments have come after RSS issued a statement calling for expedition in the Judgement in the Ayodhya dispute. During the three-day annual meet of its top decision-making body Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS), RSS had said that they were feeling that "Hindus are constantly being ignored."

As for the hearing, the Supreme Court has constituted a three-member panel headed by former Supreme Court judge Justice F.M.I. Kalifulla and comprise of spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and mediation expert Shriram Panchu.
