Karan Johar's period drama stars Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit in pivotal roles. Here's what celebrities and fans are saying about the film's teaser.

The much-awaited teaser of the multistarrer period drama Kalank is finally here. The has been in the news since it was announced a couple of years back for various reasons. For starters, it features a huge star cast comprising of Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt. Secondly, the movie marks the on-screen reunion of Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit, the hit pair of the 80s and 90s. Together they have delivered several iconic films including Khalnayak. And finally, the movie was supposed to star Sridevi but post her untimely demise, Madhuri Dixit came on board for the part.

The movie is close to Karan Johar's heart as it was the last script his late father Yash Johar worked on. The six character posters of the film had already garnered buzz on social media, the teaser was highly awaited. And looking at the teaser, it was worth all the wait. The movie has been shot at a large canvas and the cinematography looks breathtakingly beautiful. A tale of two warring families, Kalank has all the trappings of being a big success at the box office. The background score of the movie is another highlight of the teaser.

And talking about the lead stars, it's actually great to see Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt together in a film. Though I must say it looks like a CGI shot.
